I wanted to install MPlayer (as downloaded from 'sourceforge') but I was not able to get it to work on my iMac model 11.1 with OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). The 'read me' instructions are vague and cryptic so I have no confidence that I did the right things. Curiously, they recommend running on the outdated Power Mac G4. Could it be that 'sourceforge' is providing an old version of MPlayer that won't run on my iMac 11.1? If so, your carelessness has wasted a lot of my time.
